If you’re like us, you’re thinking about retirement. Also, if you’re like us, you lead a reasonably active and intellectually stimulating life that you plan to make more active and more stimulating in retirement.

We don’t want to sit on the porch all afternoon and then spend the evening in front of the TV till we’re ready for bed at 9 PM. We like to bicycle and hike and to go to lectures, plays, musical performances, coffeehouses, and funky bars for good music.

We’re on a quest to find a place that melds the great outdoors, entertainment, the arts, intellectual stimulation, and physical activity into an ideal retirement location. You may be entering upon a similar quest. If so, we’d like you to join us on our hunt. Along the way, we hope you’ll share your ideas about what constitutes an active retirement lifestyle and location.

We’ll be posting information about the places and options we explore. We invite you to do the same and help us make this website a community center for all who search for an Active Retirement Place.
